Pelosi's Power: Judy Lemons (interview) | FRONTLINE

In an interview for the FRONTLINE documentary “Pelosi’s Power,” Judy Lemons, who served as Nancy Pelosi’s chief of staff from 1987 to 2002, discusses Pelosi’s approach to legislating.

“The elements of her leadership have to do with her persuasiveness, her commitment, and her ability to count votes and to appeal to people about a particular avenue that might concern them,” she tells FRONTLINE.

The following interview was conducted by FRONTLINE’s Michael Kirk on Nov. 15, 2021. It has been edited for clarity and length.

“Pelosi’s Power” premieres March 22, 2022.
