Plans to retrieve material samples from Mars are underway, with the Perseverance rover leading the charge. Since its landing in February 2021, Perseverance has collected rock samples, storing them in sealed tubes for future missions. NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) are now collaborating on a joint mission to bring these samples back to Earth.
